T-Bone Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins

Using: T-Bone and Y-Bone Steaks (1kg)

Ingredients:

  • 2 T-bone steaks (approx. 500g each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Chimichurri Sauce:

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small red chilli, finely chopped
  • 120ml olive oil
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat. Brush steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Rest for 5 minutes.
  3. For the chimichurri sauce, mix all ingredients in a bowl and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve steaks topped with chimichurri, alongside grilled vegetables or salad.
