Classic Rib Eye Steak with Garlic Butter

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins

Using: Ribeye Fillet Steaks (1kg)

Ingredients:

  • 2 Rib eye steaks (approx. 500g each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 50g butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Remove steaks from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat until shimmering. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust to preference).
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Baste the steaks with melted butter for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
