Slow-Cooked BBQ Brisket

Serves: 4-6 | Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 6-8 hours

Using: Fresh or Corned Brisket (1kg)

Ingredients:

  • 1kg brisket
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 250ml BBQ sauce
  • 250ml beef stock
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C. Rub brisket with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Place in a roasting tray, add beef stock and Worcestershire sauce. Cover with foil.
  3. Slow-cook for 4-5 hours, basting occasionally. Remove foil, brush with BBQ sauce, and cook uncovered for 30 minutes.
  4. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with coleslaw and baked potatoes.
